  • Physiotherapy is a multi-faceted profession whose aim is to encourage and support the return to normal following injury, surgery, or trauma. This is achieved by taking a history of your problem, followed by a detailed examination, assessing how you are moving and establishing areas of stiffness, tightness and weakness. Based on this a diagnosis is made. The problems identified, are then addressed, using manual therapy, rehabilitation exercises and education in terms of what your problem is and how best to self-manage it. Physiotherapy is upheld by robust clinical research .
