Georgina is a chartered physiotherapist, who qualified in 1993 from Manchester University. Her initial experience was gained in both Birmingham and London, working as a physiotherapist for the NHS, private sector and within the military. Georgina has also worked abroad, including Australia, voluntary work in Calcutta and working as a physiotherapist in ski resorts, in the French Alps.
Over the last 23 years, she has gained a breadth of physiotherapy experience working with a wide variety of sports. These include England and GB Hockey, England Badminton, England Netball and with para-olympic athletes. She has also worked for England Women’s Rugby, including being physiotherapist at the 2006 Women’s Rugby World Cup.
Throughout her career, Georgina has also been involved in private practice physiotherapy. The breadth of experience she gained in the NHS and as a sports physiotherapist has been of huge benefit in her private practice work. More specifically, having been involved in top level sport, she has a full appreciation of how important it is for people to be able to continue to participate in their chosen activity. With this in mind, Georgina believes that a fast, effective solution should always be strived for. Georgina now runs a private physiotherapy practice in Cheltenham.
When not working as a physiotherapist, she is a competitive runner, duathlete and a passionate skier. She also enjoys mountain biking, water sports and tennis. Georgina is married with two young daughters.
