  • Physiotherapy is a multi-faceted profession with the aim to encourage and support the return to normal following injury, surgery, or trauma and to relieve pain. This is achieved by taking a history of your problem, followed by a detailed examination, assessing how you are moving and establishing areas of stiffness, tightness and weakness. Based on all this information a diagnosis is made. The problems identifed, are then addressed, using manual therapy, rehabilitation exercises and education in terms of what your problem is and how best to self-manage it. Physiotherapy is upheld by robust clinical research.

  • It can sometimes be a bit uncomfortable, but we only treat as strongly as you feel comfortable with.

  • All sessions are about 40 minutes

  • £50 and you can pay by card, bank transfer, cash or cheque.

  • Yes we are registered with all major insurance companies.

  • A pair of shorts or leggings is helpful.

    You may want to bring your running trainers if this is relevant.

  • No you don’t need to be referred by a GP.

  • You can normally get an appointment within a few days. If it is urgent we will make every effort to see you as soon as possible. Late appointments are available one to two times a week.

  • Normally you will only need a few sessions, but sometimes certain problems need more treatment. You will be given an idea as to how many sessions that you need. It is often decided between you and the therapist depending on what your aspirations are.

  • Yes we see anyone who has a musculo skeletal problem, so we see a number of young children and adolescents. Many children come for treatment if they have suffered a sports injury. Georgina has a specialist interest in this area. Children are not simply mini adults and they can present with injuries that don’t occur in adults.
