The Team
Georgina Taft, Chartered Physiotherapist
Georgina is a chartered physiotherapist, who qualified in 1993 from Manchester University. Her initial experience was gained in both Birmingham and London, working as a physiotherapist for the NHS, private sector and within the military. Georgina has also worked abroad, including Australia, voluntary work in Calcutta and being a physiotherapist in ski resorts, in the French Alps. For many years she gained a breadth of physiotherapy experience working with a wide variety of sports. These included England and GB Hockey, England Badminton, England Netball and with para-olympic athletes. She also worked for England Women’s Rugby, including being physiotherapist at the 2006 Women’s Rugby World Cup. Throughout her career, Georgina has also been involved in private practice physiotherapy and has run her own business since 2012. The breadth of experience she gained in the NHS and as a sports physiotherapist has been of huge benefit in her private practice work. More specifically, having been involved in top level sport, she has a full appreciation of how important it is for people to be able to continue to participate in their chosen activity. With this in mind, Georgina believes that a fast, effective solution should always be strived for. When not working as a physiotherapist, she is a competitive runner, road cyclist and mountain biker. She also competes in duathlete and is a passionate skier. She enjoys water sports, tennis and the outdoors. Georgina is married with two young daughters.
